TONIGHT the Christchurch Night Noodle Market is back for 2017, and it promises to be an event that’s oodles of fun for the whole family!

Here’s our guide to everything you need to know for this year’s event.

FREE ENTRY – there is no cost to enter the event, just wander in and decide what you’d like to eat first!

DATES & TIMES – The markets run from Wednesday February 8 to Sunday February 12.  The markets are open from 4pm – 10pm on Wednesday/Thursday/Friday, and from 1pm – 10pm on Saturday/Sunday.

DO YOU NEED CASH – No! All stalls take eftpos/paywave.

WILL THERE BE ENTERTAINMENT?  Expect bold, loud, eye-catching entertainment for the whole family – lion dancers, taiko drummers and more!

WHAT IS THE COST OF FOOD?  Food is priced between $5 (for a smaller plate or entrée) and $15 (for a larger size or main meal).

ARE THERE VEGETARIAN/VEGAN OPTIONS AVAILABLE?  Yes, there will be a selection of vegetarian and vegan options available – look out for the signs and check with the vendor to be sure.

WILL THERE BE GLUTEN-FREE OPTIONS?  Yes, however we can make no guarantees for coeliacs as some food is prepared off-site.

WILL THERE BE HALAL OPTIONS?  Yes, a number of vendors will be serving halal options – look out for the signs and check with the vendor to be sure.

HOW TO GET THERE?  There is no on-site parking available other than street parking.  Remember to allow extra time and plan ahead before coming.  Consider using public transport,  getting dropped off, cycling or walking as alternate options to travelling by car.
