The coolest little wine festival in the country is back this year and giving back to its local community.
Wine and food producers from the quake-stricken region of North Canterbury are coming back with a bang this March and getting together to celebrate the fruits of the land and their labour at the North Canterbury Wine and Food Festival.
The all ages event returns to Glenmark Domain in Waipara Valley on Sunday 12 March with over 30 wineries and 20 local food producers involved. There will be an emphasis on wholesome, sustainable wine and food that celebrates the abundance of the North Canterbury region.
As well as the culinary offerings, there will be pockets of family friendly entertainment, in-depth conversations with top chefs and winemakers on topics such as wild ferments, reintroducing Māori cuisine in today’s context, and biodynamics, and fundraising activations throughout the day to support the local people and their land.
Standard Adult Tickets are $30 with the festival promoting responsible drinking by offering a $15 ticket for all sober drivers. Under 18s enter the venue for free.
