A New Neighbourhood is Emerging
Between the high-rise buildings, the cone city and our busy lives a new Christchurch Neighbourhood is emerging. The frequent Victoria Street rush brings the first of our new hot spots for your lifestyle needs. The up and coming place to live is in the beginning of our Central City, in particular the established, picturesque Conference, Peacock and Beverly Street, ‘The Three Streets’. This up and coming neighborhood is quickly filling up with quirky cafes, eatery’s and your daily grocers. Living in the 4 Avenues is cursorily showing how easy collecting your essentials in your lunch hour or after work can be. We have been trying these new locals and getting a taste for many different cuisines just outside your doors.
Our first stop for a delicious bite is Rockstar Pizza & Drink Parlour, nestled in Victoria Street. An entertainment hub with music, pizza and some humor, it is a must to follow on Facebook! Keep up your weekly fun nights out and find out what bands you will hear as you indulge in some genuine, delicious tastes! It is open late nights, a perfect stop for a cocktail or two. You will even find salads and Oysters on their menu, catering for everyone.
The finer things are made at Chopped, a quirky new restaurant, bar and cafe, serving delicious, hearty food for every meal keeping the whole family cheerful, priding themselves on customer service. We love their moto, ‘Table service, banging coffee, cold beers and fresh food cooked to order is the only way we know how.’ You’ll find delicious burgers, and some amazing sweet treats, along with breakfast and everything in between to tempt yourself with. An absolute choice for your next family dinner outing!
A beautiful sleek coffee shop waiting for you to stop by. You will find Vanessa and her team serving La Marzocco coffee and serving wholesome food daily. There every changing smoothies and bliss balls are a must try. They are tucked away in 123 Victoria Street, follow the side of the building and enter the foyer to find this masterpiece.
Through the grey door is how Staff Only describes their location. Its tucked away on Montreal Street, for only the discoverers to enjoy, making delicious bagels and serving Supreme Coffee! Once you have found this gem be sure to book your next breakfast appointment here. It has a calm feel taking you away from the daily hustle.
Coopers and Co
Your local, fresh daily grocer has arrived. From easy meals, lunches, to your day to day household needs you will find everything you need at Coopers and Co. As you arrive you will smell fresh bread, treats and Allpress coffee ready, along with Akaroa butchery meats in their selection. This aesthetically pleasing location offers a cut above any other grocer store. The beautiful reading room, with magazines, and coffee table books will tick off those hard to buy for friends and is also a must see. We know this one will be your daily stop on the way home grabbing your meats, essentials and anything in between.
Casamassima Italian Fare
Backing on to Victoria street you will find a hidden treasure. A beautiful Italian Deli, hiding away selling fresh pasta and cheeseboard necessities and all things Italian. Stuck on what to cook? Or maybe fancy a freshly cooked to order pasta for lunch? Stop by Casamasima to help you decide.
The Polo Bar and Restaurant
As we approach Winter you can never go wrong with a glass of red by the fire at Hotel Montreal’s Polo Bar. Enjoy their tapa styled menu, meet your friends and take a break from those busy days.
